My name is Denton Walker. I have been the pastor at Grace Baptist Church since October of 2019.

I grew up in a small farming community in Eastern New Mexico. I grew up in church and got saved at the end of a Vacation Bible School week when I was 8 years old. I realized that Jesus Christ was my only hope of salvation, because I was indeed a sinner that deserved Hell because of my sins. I called on the Lord to save my soul based on Jesus Christ’s finished work on Calvary as payment for my sins.

Although I was saved at a young age and grew up in church, I never got stablished in the faith (Col. 2:7). I had a modern translation, a lot of pride, and worldly standards. I made a wreck of my life through poor decisions and being far from God.
In 2013, the Lord guided me to my first King James Bible believing church. After months of having my toes stepped on, I finally gave the Lord control of my life. I started hungering for the word of God, and after spending 20 years as a baby Christian, I finally started to grow spiritually.

It wasn’t long after that, the Lord called me and my family up to Idaho to go to Bible school at Treasure Valley Baptist Bible institute. The Bible Institute allowed me to learn a lot from great men of God like Pastor Rick DeMichele and Dr. Sam Gipp. I graduated Bible school in 2018 with more love and confidence in the King James Bible than I ever had before.
Since I KNOW the saving power of Jesus Christ and the transforming power of the word of God, it is my goal to show others what God has shown me. That Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that spiritual growth is in direct correlation to your exposure to the word of God. That is why I desire not only to see souls saved, but to see people grow in their relationship with the Lord through the preaching, teaching, and reading of His word.
I am blessed to be the pastor of Grace Baptist Church, and would like to personally invite you to come hear the word of God and grow with us.
